The Angeles City First Church of the Nazarene has purchased an adjacent property for a total of Eight million pesos ($181,000 dollars). This property gives them the opportunity to expand the current sanctuary. In an email communication Dr. Angelito Agbuya said, “I would like to build a sanctuary that would have a 1500-2000 seating capacity. With the adjacent and adjoining property (Student Center) we could have about 2000 sq meters property.” This would expand the sanctuary to accommodate the normal crowds. Currently the congregations are scheduled when they are able to come to worship since the number who want to come is far greater than the capacity of the current building.
This property came available when a Bible School that was operating across the street from the Angeles City First Church closed down a few months ago. The property has 1416 sq.meters (double the size of the church property including the parsonage. It has 8 big rooms and a three room size master’s bedroom, a sizable dining or living room and a kitchen. The mansion itself occupies more than 500 sq meters. It has a separate drivers quarters with a two room and a private kitchen area; the space also has a separate dorms for men and ladies that could accommodate 20 students each… with a five car parking area.
The mansion was used as a Bible school for more than 20 years. It closed after the last missionary left just a few months ago.
