LNBC Celebrates Foundation Week

The Luzon Nazarene Bible College marked its 58th Foundation Week on November 22-27, 2010 with diverse activities that involved a variety of people. The Monday kickoff was composed of a special worship service wherein Rev. Saturnino Galino, the guest speaker, expounded the word of God, and followed by booth construction by year level on the college grounds. Tuesday and Wednesday were replete with highly challenging but joyful Alpha-Beta competitions of all sorts. Simultaneously, the PhilTeen Planning Conference was opened by an assuring speech by Rev. Nick Cacho, the National Executive Secretary of the PNAB. Thursday and Friday were filled with festive and intense activities of the Nazarene Learners Center (NLC) Intramurals coupled by the meeting of the LNBC Board of Trustees.

Saturday was made historic by the inauguration of LNBC’s 9th President, Rev.Bonifacio Plantilla. The occasion was graced with the presence of guests from the Municipal and Provincial Governments, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and the denominational hierarchy. Gen. Supt. Dr. Jerry Porter, IBOE Commissioner Dr. Lebron Fairbanks, Asia-Pacific Regional Education Coordinator Dr. Melvin Rigsby, and Korea Nazarene University (KNU) President Dr. Abraham Im sent their greetings.

The new president was installed by Rev. Stephen Gualberto, Field Strategy Coordinator of Philippines and Micronesia. In his distinguished speech, Pres. Plantilla presented the vision for the college and outlined the strategic initiatives summing up with the announcement of the new name of the college  -  Philippine Nazarene Colleges.
