Conflict is a normal part of our lives. We hear about wars, fighting, political battles all the time. This last few months have been no exception in the Philippines. Many battles have been fought. In one area, one of the Jesus Film leaders has experienced unusual protection while they are presenting the Good News.
Traveling to a dangerous place, a group that is fighting the government allowed them to stay in the home of the commander of that rebel group. The next morning the government forces heard they were there and came and inspected their equipment and interviewed them to determine if they were rebels. A few weeks later, they were in another dangerous area controlled by a different – non-Christian rebel group. That group protected them while they showed the Jesus film to about 600 people and worked to establish five new churches in that area. Finally, just a short time later, the Government military forces in the area provided protection for them while they showed the Jesus Film to other communities. It is amazing how God is at work in these dangerous areas.
Please pray for the protection of our pastors. Just a week ago, a rebel group stopped one of our District Superintendents on his way home, a trip he often takes. They were harsh and threatening, but only took his money and cell phone.
